NIT Warangal hosts Technozion 2012

The 12th edition of the technical festival – Technozion 2012 at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) here started off on a colourful note.
Inaugurating the festival, co-founder and CEO of Rang De, N. K. Ramakrishna exhorted the students to develop technologies that are affordable and accessible to a large section of people of the country.
He said that the theme for this edition of Technozion, “Gandhian Engineering” was very close to his heart. “India will be truly successful only when each one of us collectively contributes to its development,” he said urging the budding engineers and innovators, to take up a social enterprise and scale it up to make cheap, feasible outcomes available to the common man.
He appreciated the efforts of Team Technozion and the fantastic environment provided by NIT-W to turn many dreams into reality.
Another guest at the inaugural, Rajeev K. Kurium Thati of ACC Cements, wanted students to be more competitive. “Student innovators should engage in meaningful activity that will yield best results,” he said.
Over 5,000 students representing different technical institutions across the country took part in over 50 competitions during the three-day annual event.
