The Warangal Municipal Corporation (WMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Technology (NIT) here to collaborate in a wide range of issues concerning the civic body.
The MoU was signed by NIT Director T. Srinivasa Rao and WMC Commissioner Vivek Yadav here on Thursday.
According to the MoU, the NIT will offer consultancy services in the areas of water quality monitoring, energy audit, performance evaluation of existing systems, feasibility studies of projects in the areas of expertise available at NITW, development of water quality documents, intellectual and advisory consultancy on roads, civil structures, providing structural designs, analysis and testing of various materials and training of the engineers in the need based areas.
The NIT shall also play technical advisory role for WMC in areas of expertise available at NIT, Warangal.
